Travel Rule support — now in preview
about 1 month ago by Hugo Janse van Rensburg
BEEM is introducing Travel Rule support, and you can start building against it today.
New optional fields let you provide details about the sender and recipient on payments across both BEEM primitives — Payment Links (In and Out) and Channels (inbound deposits). BEEM validates and securely transmits this information to the provider on the other side of the transaction.
What you need to know
- Available now in sandbox — build and test ahead of time.
- Optional today — nothing changes in your live integration yet.
- Enforceable from 1 July 2026 — in line with AUSTRAC's Travel Rule commencement date for virtual asset transfers.
Start in sandbox now so you're ready well before enforcement. Full detail, the phased timeline, and the fields are on the new Travel Rule page.
